Close your eyes and imagine the sunny slopes of the southern side of Mount Etna, at an altitude of 450 meters in the territory of Belpasso. Here, in Contrada Stagliata, low rainfall and significant nightly temperature fluctuations create a unique microclimate. The Agata Santangelo farm translates the strength of these ancient volcanic soils into a rare and elegant wine: the Cappuccio Rosato IGT Terre Siciliane. A small oenological gem born from healthy, strictly hand-harvested grapes, designed to bring the most floral and fresh soul of the volcano into your glass.

INGREDIENT ANALYSIS AND TASTE

• 🌱 The Pure Native Variety: Made with 100% Nerello Cappuccio, a historic Etna grape variety historically used in blends, which here finds a masterful solo interpretation, capable of revealing an unexpected aromatic finesse.
• 🌋 Mineral Signature: The roots go deep into sandy soils, extremely rich in skeleton and organic matter. This extreme terroir translates into a wine with marked savoriness and vibrant freshness (pH 3.54).
• 🧑🍳 Respectful Vinification: The extraction of the bright claret-pink color (embellished with copper highlights) occurs through direct pressing. Fermentation at a controlled temperature and a long 12-month aging process in steel preserve the integrity of the fruit without altering its aromatic profile.
• 🍯 Sensory Bouquet: On the nose, it offers an elegant, springtime interweaving: intoxicating notes of wisteria and rose blend with the crisp scent of fresh wild berries.

What is the difference between a Nerello Mascalese rosé and one made from Nerello Cappuccio?
While Mascalese tends to produce rosés that are more austere and structured, 100% Nerello Cappuccio offers a glass that is much more focused on fruit softness and a distinctly floral aromatics, while still maintaining the unmistakable volcanic mineral imprint.
